Project Hand Up is a program where working people and people who receive a monthly check can shop for groceries, toiletries, and over the counter medication for a suggested donation that helps to stretch their pay check so they do not have to chose between eating or paying bills.

If you would like to make a donation to help us help those in need or just to give back

Project Hand Up

Project Hand Up is in dire need of help from the community. For reasons beyond our control we will no longer be receiving food from our food source which means we will only be able to open once a week because we will not have enough food to do more. Unfortunately this is going to hurt so many in need.

What we need from the community is anyone who may have any connections with grocery stores or drug stores that would be willing to donate food or toiletries that would be nearing the sell by date or over stock. Also if your church or organization can do food drives, toiletry drive etc... that would be a huge help. If you are having a party or get together maybe asking your guest to bring a can good, non perishable food or toiletries to donate.

I know how kind and giving the people in this community are, I have witnessed it on a daily basis. With your help we will be back to our usual hours in no time. Project Hand Up has been such a help to so many trying to make ends meet it saddens me to think it may come to an end. Please help if you can.

Thank you all for helping us help those in need.

❤️ Please know that all of us at Be The Change will be doing everything possible to keep this program going. ❤️

                                                                 Hours of operation:

We will be open every Tuesday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

We are a registered Non-profit organization and 100% of all donations go back into this program and towards helping the community.

The Project Hand Up program is not just for the homeless and the impoverished. This program is also for working people and the elderly to help make ends meet. Times are tough out there for everyone and this program is a way to help people stretch their pay checks. For a suggested donation people can shop for groceries, (we do carry a lot of health food and organic food), toiletries, and over the counter medication. This is a win, win situation for everyone. Please take the time to come and visit or shop with us and see first hand what a great program this is for all. And by all means if you would like to be a part of this great program by volunteering your time contact Coreen St Jean. We are looking forward to working with all of you.
