During the Covid - 19 crisis if the Project Hand Up parking lot is full you will proceed to the West Warwick Civic Center parking lot at the top of Factory St. You will then be given a number and when your number is called you will proceed to Project Hand Up to pick up your groceries. Please do not arrive before 3:00pm. School is back in session and we can not block where the parents have to pick up there kids and buses have to park.
This is curbside pick up with no contact. You must wear a mask when you come in the lot to pick up your groceries. You can not get out of your vehicle we will open the trunk for you. Please have your trunk cleaned out so the volunteers can put the groceries in. If there is not enough room for the groceries then we will only put in what we can fit.
We are located at 15 Factory St. West Warwick
We are a registered Non-profit all volunteer organization and 100% of all donations go back into this program and towards helping the community.
The Project Hand Up program is not just for the homeless and the impoverished. This program is also for working people and the elderly to help make ends meet. Times are tough out there for everyone and this program is a way to help people stretch their pay checks. For a suggested donation people can shop for groceries, (we do carry a lot of health food and organic food). This is a win, win situation for everyone. Please take the time to come and visit or shop with us and see first hand what a great program this is for all. And by all means if you would like to be a part of this great program by volunteering your time contact Coreen St Jean. We are looking forward to working with all of you.

WE ARE IN NEED OF YOUR HELP
What we need from the community is anyone who may have any connections with drug stores that would be willing to donate food and toiletries that would be nearing the sell by date or over stock. Also if your church or organization can do, toiletry drives etc... that would be a huge help. If you are having a party or get together maybe asking your guest to bring a can good, non perishable food or toiletries to donate.
Thank you all for helping us help those in need.
If you would like to make a donation to help us help those in need or just to give back
Project Hand Up is a program where working people and people who receive a monthly check can shop for groceries for a suggested donation that helps to stretch their pay check so they do not have to chose between eating or paying bills.
